$10K reward for arrest of Atlanta woman seen beating dog on doorbell camera

In a disturbing dog-beating case in southwest Atlanta last month, a reward of up to $10,000 is now being offered. PETA declared that they will be contributing $5,000 to the original Crime Stoppers reward.

A woman captured on a doorbell camera abusing a tiny puppy at the Landing Square Apartments off Greenbriar Parkway is being sought by Atlanta Police.

The dog is visible in the video, and a woman approaches from the opposite direction, removes her shoe, and begins beating the dog. As the woman raises the dog off the ground and proceeds to viciously beat it, the dog cries out in pain for more than 15 seconds. According to video provided by APD on Dec. 17, 2021, she later goes out of view while carrying the dog.

“If this little dog is still in this violent person’s hands, he or she is possibly experiencing the terror and pain of similar beatings regularly,” PETA Senior Vice President Colleen O’Brien said. “This dog needs to be separated from the abuser immediately, and PETA urges anyone with answers to come forward.”

Management at the apartments, as well as the maintenance team, were unable to identify the woman in the video. Police also spoke to several nearby neighbors.

On Jan. 24, police said they have no new information to release in the case.
